Education/Training

The City of Lexington's school system is comprised of six schools serving grades K through 12. The Davidson County school system consists of 14 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 6 high schools, and 2 special needs schools.

Located approximately 4 miles north of Lexington is Davidson County Community College (DCCC) which offers over 40 curriculum programs to help prepare people for enhanced employment.

Also, within roughly an hour's drive from Lexington, are over two dozen colleges and universities including NC State, University of North Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, and UNC-Charlotte.
