Northside Fire Station

Lexington’s third fire station was constructed in 1975 to cover the northern portions of the city. It serves a territory consisting primarily of small business and residential occupancies including the Northside sub-division and the historic Erlanger Mills Neighborhood, in addition to diverse properties such as Parkdale Mills (Lexington’s only remaining textile mill) and the soon to be open Childress Winery complex. Additionally US Highway 64 and Business 85 bisect the district and the proposed Interstate 185 (currently US Highway 52) will run through portions of the district. The station houses Engine-183 and two unmanned reserve trucks Engine’s 283 and 383.
