Have you heard the 'buzz' about the "Re-creation of Recreation" master plan? Lexington City Council and City Manager Alan Carson have embraced the vision to completely revamp recreational facilities for area citizens over the next several years. This initiative poses an incredibly exciting time for youth, families and future generations. All pool facilities both new and old are undergoing a transformation!
Lexington Aquatic Park, formerly known as Hillside Pool, is now complete with a competition-size swimming pool and pool house with ADA accessibility. The renovation of Washington Park is also complete and now includes a 4000 sq. ft. sprayground, on top of updated facilities and amenities. Plans are in progress to convert Radcliffe Park into a Skate Park as part of expanding outdoor recreational choices, and construction plans are expected in late 2017!
