Walking is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, and the City of Lexington Parks and Recreation Department encourages you to get out and be #activefirst.  Did you know that walking can help you maintain a healthy weight, and prevent or manage various conditions, such as heart disease, high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes.  It can also strengthen bones, muscles and joints, while also improving your circulation, breathing, and mood!
