Lexington Fire Department's Shift Commanders play significant roles in achieving the command and operational mission of the department. Each assistant chief coordinates one of the administrative divisions and manages one platoon in the operations division.
Commander Chris Proctor
Chris Proctor has been with the Lexington Fire Department since 1983. Through the years, he has served in capacities as firefighter, sergeant and captain. He is a 1996 graduate of Guilford Technical Community College; where he holds an Associate's Applied Science degree in Fire Protection Technology. Chris has also earned his Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Upper Iowa University. Chris is the Fire Shift Commander in charge of the Logistics Division.
Commander Paul Jarrett
Paul Jarrett has been employed with the Lexington Fire Department since 1988. He has served through the ranks as firefighter, engineer, company officer and shift commander. Paul has an Associate's Applied Science degree from Guilford Technical Community College in Fire Protection Technology. He has also earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Fire Department Administration from Fayetteville State University. Paul is the Fire Shift Commander in charge of the Training Division.
Commander Andy Beck
Andy Beck has been with the Lexington Fire Department since 1985. He has served as a firefighter, sergeant, and captain. Andy is the Shift Commander in charge of the Human Services Division.
